Final reflection

I found that being part of Hunter College early college program helped me have a better prepared future in my college career because I had an idea of college will be about and how the rest of my school life will be. Also I felt better prepared because at first I thought college will be in a different way but it wasn’t its more complicated and more dedicated and without the hard work and effort it will be hard at the long run. Also it’s better prepared for me to be more organized and well prepared with my assignments and projects.

My main obstacles that I faced were staying on track with my grades and my assignments. Also being able to turn in my homework on time and being able to finish it throughout the weekend. I over came these obstacles by doing my homework on Fridays and being able to turn them in on time. I was more organized with my homework.

One moment of great success that I experienced this year was my final English presentation. It was Riyesh and I working on a huge project that counted for at all and we finished it on time and we were able to have fun with it and it all turned out to be a great project. I believe were successful because we didn’t give up and when we had difficulties, we settled them in a peaceful matter.

Some lessons that I learned this year from Fiction Writing class that I will be able to use in my writing are the different fiction techniques, such as foreshadow, manipulating time, slow motion and a lot more. I will be able to use these techniques because I learned to use them throughout the year and was able to accomplish these techniques. What I learned about myself as a writer this year is that I can be a really passionate, romantic writer and I am very detailed. Also I have a worst grammar and I am starting to fix it.

I couldn’t take a course at Hunter College but I was able to take my regular classes, English, History and Math.

I think I need to work on being more organized and more aware of what things are due and when and being able to turn them on time. Also I feel that I can be more dedicated and harder working. I will be more dedicated in my work and make sure it’s the best work I’ve ever done and I will make sure it’s one of my best work.

I used the library mostly because it was a quiet and you can focus when you need work done. Also I used the computer labs and the gym. I was mostly everywhere this year at Hunter and I was able to use what was available for me.

What I learned about myself that I was able to be part of this earl college program is that nothing is impossible and everything takes dedication and hard work to get where you want to get to. Also I am more active with programs and I put effort in things.

I don’t really know where I will be going to school in the Fall because of all the options I have but I think I will go for the best school that offers more money and more education.

My personal goals for the future are becoming an educated, dedicated woman with a great degree and make my family and everyone that believed in me happy and to make myself feel important and make a great women that I was always raised to be. I see myself still in school getting my masters 5 years from now. In 10 years probably creating a family being able to have a house and being able to have a great future and having a great job. In 20 year I see myself with a family, building a strong relationship and helping my parents out.

The advice I would give future MHSHS students in order to help them prepare for this experience will be to learn from everything, pay attention to what life brings you and take advantage of this experience to create the rest of their life. Also using this experience to take the right path into college and future learning’s.
