Journal 6

Jasmin was a loving girlfriend to Edwin. They shared every moment with each other. People thought they were the perfect couple in Paris, France. After a year later, rumors started going around saying that Edwin was cheating on Jasmin with her cousin. Those rumors reached to Jasmin's eats and she started to notice something. Edwin was different with her and one day he confessed he was cheating. Jasmin felt heart broken but she just left without sayung a word and stood with Edwin even through his unfaithfulness.

"A sound of thunder"

The protagonist of this story is Eckels. Eckels's desire is to time travel to the past. The characteristics traits that are important about this protagonist are that he is confused about whether shooting a dinosaur or not. The antagonist of this story would be Eckels himself. Eckels is trying not to shoot the T- Rex but he does. Also he tries to not change the past because the future will not be the same. The theme of this story is time travel. To develop this technique of time travel , the author talks about not messing up with anything in the past because it will not be the way its suppose to be. The authors tone within the story is about time travel being important because it won't mess up the future. The crisis action of this story would be when Eckels shoots the T- Rex. The character does achieve what they want because he wanted to shoot the T- Rex. He realizes that he made an error and not the future isn't the way its suppose to be. I enjoyed reading this story because it used imagery as a technique to show the story within the readers eyes. Also because whole the fact that the story is about time travel as well.

The veldt reflection 3

The protagonist on this story are the parents George and Lydia. Their desire is to get a psychologist to check their virtual nursery. Some traits that show that these are the protagonist are that they have a $30,000 house and they want help to know what's wrong with the nursery. The $30,000 house is the antagonist. This house is trying to stop the family from being normal and from doing things on their own. Also this house shows how incomplete the family is including from the parents to the children. The theme of this story is abandonment. The techniques that are being used to develop the story would be using personification. This technique is used to make the house come to live as if it were a human. Also this technique is used to show how something none existed could be used to the advantage of being abandoned by each member of the family. The crisis action would be when the parents go inside the nursery and the kids lock them away and they notice that the lions are eating the stimulates of them. What I enjoyed about this story is that its a story about things coming to live. Also the whole fact that the house is all run thought technology and at the end the parents suffer the consequences.

The dragon reflection 2

The protagonist are the two men hiding from the dragon. Their desire is to not get caught or seen by the dragon. Also to get home safe. Some traits that show these men are the protagonist are that they showed bravery and no fear of the dragon. The dragon is the antigonist. The dragon is trying to stopping the men from going him and stopping them from moving forward. The theme of the story is bravery. The techniques used to show or develop the story are the way how each men tas about the armor, and always having God in their thoughts. Also using metaphors and similes to compare the objects. The author's tone is to sho that nothing can stop anyone if you have bravery and nothing will stand in your way. The crisi action of this story is is getting through the dragon. The men at the end get through and kill the dragon. What I enjoyed about this story is that the dragon dies and the men always have God where ever they go nd at the end thank Him.

Journal 5

Sophia was standing in the mud on a horribly rainy day, holding only a black rusty umbrella to shield her and Jessie from the rain. Jessie looks up at the umbrella and says:" This patch, makes the umbrella look broken, not as new as it used to be." she looks down and avoid eye contact. "
Its been broken since the lighting hit it, it took something away from us." " But why are you carrying around this burden for, it will only cause you sadness." The look in Sophias eyes changed as she said "I've had this umbrella ever since we were little , I just can't forget about it, its helped us through though times. " We have to let the past go." Jessie said. Sophia looked out from underneath the umbrella to see that the sun was peaking from behind the clouds. " You are right Jessie it's time to move on." Sophia drops the umbrella and she and Jessie make their way through the mud to the paved sidewalk, and neither of them looked back.

Journal 4

Everything was spinning and my eyes started to burn. Taking that flight back to Miami, going home, was going to be a stressful ride. Celexra was my reason to calm down, but I think I took to much. A couple of hours passed and everything was spinning when the pilot said " ladies and gentleman , the airplane has lost a lot of gasoline and there is a possibility we will crash." Everyone was going crazy and people started to panic, I was calm but later I started to feel jumpy and I couldn't stay still. People asked " sir are you ok?" I knew I was fine but people thought I was crazy. Things got critical by the minutes and the plane was going to crash no matter what. Boats were given to a couple of us but not enough. The plane got dark, kids crying and yelling. Adults were yelling and crying. " God please save us" was a prayer the lady next to me said. The plane was going down and with enough speed , we were all going to die. The plane hit water , and fire started to burn on the sides. An explosion occurred but I was uncontrollable. I hit my head with the window and it popped open, scaring my face forever. People started to die because of the stock or because they were killed by the explosion. People headed out the door where the rafts started to blow up. " 10 per boat" a man said. I was next to be on the last boat , " hurry sir". A women with blue eyes and blonde hair was holding her 9 month old baby in her arms. Her name was Molly. " Please help me!l Molly cried with pain. I knew I wasn't going anywhere. " Lady get in this boat" " But there's none left for you" " I don't care lady, I want to die". Molly was happy that I did this. " What's your name sir?" "Allen." " Thank you Allen." She kissed my check while I laying down flat on the water, where the waves would take me away to where ever I was going.

Bringing the past back

Zack threw his step-dad’s picture frame at he wall. The frame shattered into pieces as he cried with anger. Zack ran passed the un packed boxes to Angela and shields himself with her body. “What’s wrong honey?” Angela screamed. Zack being scared and passed out as he mumbled unknown words. After few hours, Zack rushes to pack his childhood memories of his step father and locks them away. That same night Zack screams with terror after a nightmare of his childhood. Angela awakes through the yelling. The nex tmorning Zack leaves for a couple of hours to refresh his thoughts, but soon returns to his house. He thought everything would be better, but he once against finds himself attacked by his daunting past. He starts to visualize his step-dad’s belt attacking him. He starts to burn all boxes that held his step-dad’s items. Zack’s madness did not allow him to notice that he burnt the boxes inside his house. The flames engulfs his childhood house and soon to be new house. Zack runs out the house and feels relived of all his stress. He felt glad that the house burnt down with all his bad memories. As Zack laughs with jo, he realizes that he left his wife which did not escape the fire.

"All Summer in a day"

The protagionst of this story is Margot, a little girl from Ohio. She recently moved from Earth to Venus. Her desire is to see the sun and move back to Earth. Margot is a quiet, shy girl. She doesnt like to socialize with anyone and doesn't speak to anyone. The blue color of her eyes, "the red from her mouth and the yellow from her hair". The antagoinist of this story would be William. William doesn't like Margot because he knows she is different from everyone else. The theme of this story is loneliness.The different techniques used in this story that lead to the theme of loneliness would be the fact the Margot doesn't have any friends and no one likes her. Also Margot is a shy and quiet girl that has just arrived from Ohio to Venus and she is very different from all the other kids in the classrooom. Tha author's tone within the story would be that the author wants to show the difference that Margot had among the different kids and how she tells them that the day in which the sun will come out is on that same day but no one listens to her. The crisis action would be where William locks Margot away in a closet while they see the sun coming out. I enjoyed reading this story because the setting is different and its based on a whole new different world. The descrpition of the fact that in Venus , the sun comes out every seven years for two hours.
